Hiding in plain site, Point of View is a series of bus bench billboards that employ the “Thatcher Effect,” an optical illusion that highlights how easily the brain can incorrectly process visual information. Initially, only the orientation of the billboard seems conspicuous, as the stock images are a familiar sight. The illusion is revealed when a viewer shifts their perspective, and is able to detect the distortions present in the inverted faces.
