Point of View
Series of bus bench billboards installed in locations throughout Miami-Dade county, Florida, each 24 x 72 in. (60.96 x 182.88 cm), 2021
Hiding in plain sight, Point of View employs the “Thatcher Effect,” an optical illusion that highlights how easily the brain can incorrectly process visual information. Initially, only the orientation of the billboard seems conspicuous. The illusion is revealed when a viewer shifts their perspective, and is able to detect the distortions present in the inverted faces.
